San Francisco Graffiti Art: COLOR

Hey all,

Since we have been working with color, this week we will be looking at some good old San Francisco Graffiti Art!

Please observe the images below and respond to the following questions as best as you can.

In this particular image you should be able to notice how the cars in the foreground actually seem to be a part of the graffiti piece.  Why is it that they work well with the graffiti?  What color schemes are present?  How do these color schemes make the work stand out?

The is piece really makes use of what element of art?  This element really emphasizes ____________ within the piece.  Describe how color is being used in the background?  Color Schemes?

What dominant color scheme is present here?  Are there any other color schemes?  If so, what are they?  How does the use of yellow affect the work?

There is a very dominant color scheme here, what is it?  Within two of the colors there are other color schemes within, what are those?  How does the overall use of color help with the composition (the way the piece looks or is organized)?

REMINDER:
February 20th will be the last day to make up any blogs from blogs 1-4 that you are missing.
